Yes just do it, as in my post these are a great mod, not cheap or easy, but a great mod combined with a good intake..These changes really WAKE up the beast..The sound is nasty, more attitude, great quality, great choice :cheers:

My concern was mainly about the visual inspection aspect of the smog check. My guess is that if the "tech" sees in the book that those pre cats are supposed to be there, he's gonna fail it if they're not.

PS -- To he who said he's getting headers done to his car soon, you will LOVE the difference in power. I have no idea what the actual power gain is that the headers are netting on my car, but boy can you feel it!

it would probably be wiser to ask for the shop's name via email versus plastering their name on this forum

why weld? wht not take the exhaust off the car and have it swedged to fit over the headers and band clamp it. could this be done or do they have to be welded? i dont want to weld the headers to the exhaust i would rather clamp it.any ideas ? thanks guys . brad
