Default Question?

I am buying new tires very soon...I have a contact @ a Goodyear wholesale store.
I am thinking of the Goodyear GS D3's, (990.00) cash or he has some Goodyear F-1 supercars for 850.00.
What would you do and does anyone know about the F-1's?

Thanks!

The F1s are the standard Z06 tires. Good grip when you get heat in them, not so good when they're cold. Reasonable wear. Not sure about the others.

I would go with the GS-D3's. I have them on my car and they are great tires wet or dry.

If your car will be driven regularly in the rain, get the D3s.

Gottem on mine, can do 70 mph on a hairpin turn with aplenty rain on the pavement and no slip out.

I'm running the Goodyear 'Eagle F1 Supercar' tires on my new Chrysler. They handle extremely well, but are apt to be a little noisy at freeway speeds. I've also read somewhere that the unique construction of these tires might interfere with the Corvette's TPM sensors, yet they do not interfere with the TPMs of the Chryslers. Since the Z06s run these tires, maybe it only affects the TPMs of the 97-99 C5 models; however, I'm unsure if this is even fact.

Default Ok.....

I won't be driving much in the rain....but seems they are very highly rated by tire rack. I'm wondering also about how noisy and tread wear...@ 1,000 a set...I'd like 35,000 or so..Possible?
BTW..Thanks for the info!

The D3s for me. The mileage will depend on your driving style.

MY last set of tires were the Goodyear F1 Supercars - never had a problem with them and they performed well for me when I got caught in the rain. No problems with the TPS working either.

However, the Goodyear GS-D3 is a highly rated tire for overall performance. If it were me, they would be my pic even though they cost a bit more.

GS-D3's on my 99 coupe. Good hook up, comfy ride and quiet as a ***** in church. About $1,000 to your door.
