I'd bet a set of Ti headers would go for at least $3000, perhaps more.

I saw that they have Ti headers for sports bikes and I am looking at every way to drop the weight of my car as low as possible.

I bet a call to Kooks, with a big bag of cash, may turn into a set of Ti headers...a really big bag...

I thought of having my guy fabricate a center piece...the x-pipe. I wonder what the weight of a "header-back Ti exhaust" would weigh?
I can find-out how much the materials will be tomorrow. Labor shouldn't be horrific....it'd be a great deal cheaper than headers, though.

Let me know, that would interest me too. do you know off hand what the weight differences are between stainless steel and titanium are. I am wondering how much weight it would save.

Titanium is 45% lighter than steel. I don't know how much the xpipe weighs....
Another benefit of Ti is that it doesn't corrode with sodium or saline environments...in other words, take a piece of Ti and expose it to road-salt or a life near the ocean...and it won't corrode...ever. It is often used in power-plants and pharmaceutical plants that require "zero-corrosion" materials.

I'm even thinking of having an exhaust made, similar to the 'stinger' types, there are a few universal Ti exhausts on the market for the import cars. I'd think a good deal of weight could be saved by using a Ti xpipe and 'aggressive' sounding exhaust...
