To each his own And C5s make great disposable Vettes
You may say they are disposable, but they are superior to the C4 styling and engineering. I think you would be hardpressed to find a handful of people willing to take a c4 over a newer f-body.
I personally would rather have a 98+ fbody over a zr1. I know i am probably alone on this, but i really dislike that body styling, no matter how good the motor may or may not be, it still is not an LSX motor!!

I, as many will agree that technology is hard to beat, and don’t get me wrong I do like my C5 and it is one of the best road Vette’s I have ever had and I drive it daily to the tune of 70K miles in just two years. Do I care for its styling no, but I won’t rag on it for its faults.
Now the C4 first came out in 84 I had C3’s and vowed it was the ugliest Vette ever and would never own one. Well after owning 7 C4s my opinion has changed why? Technology!
And yes the C3 styling still beats them all hands down.
On to the C4 ZR-1 it is a part of Corvette history and its advance’s are what got the C5 to the dance. Now take you LS motor out and run it for 24 hours at full throttle and see how it holds up.
After owning a C4 (not a ZR1) and now owning a C5 I will take the C5 over the ZR1! even though it is a collecters item! I would much rather enjoy the newer over the older! IMHO!
