Are you sure they're chrome and not polished/clear coated ? Typically chrome doesn't scratch and polished does. If they're polished and clear coated - the scratches are in the clear coat.

There's not really much you can do with it...

Chrome is pretty hard - if it really is chrome - to scratch. Chrome is more likely to chip and flake off than to scratch. I'd try a metal polish and plan on spending some time at it. Wax the wheels after your done. Good Luck!

I agree with above posts. GM did not make chrome thin spokes. They are clear coated polished aluminum. There have been a couple of posts here by members about polishing out the scratches or removing the clear coat all together. Try a search here on the forum.

It is true GM doesnt make them, but you can get GM chrome wheels, and yes, they are chrome, I know the difference. It's like the previous owner tried to polish them with a hard compound. I tried a chrome polish, but it didn't take them out. BTW, chrome is hard, but it's not a diamond and can scratch

WHOA!
Somebody really worked hard to put those scratch in.

I'd start going up the abrasive chain of compounds till you find one that will rub them out and work back to ligther grades making big scratches into smaller ones as you go. You've got some hours ahead of you.
