Default Thanks to all

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone that adds their part to this forum. Washed the car this weekend and my window cut out on me. I started to get pissed thinking about dropping a couple hundred on a motor and the pain of having to pull the door apart. So I researched and found that the door is not that difficult to get apart and I also found that this is fairly common. After trying the door slam method several times over the course of a weekend, my window started working on Sunday.

Reading those threads on window issues convinced me to not buy a motor just yet and to try the door slam method, beating on the door, and possibly taking the door apart and beating on the motor with a wrench. Never had to get that far and saved myself a couple hundred dollars for the time being. I also read how to seal my taillights and went into Home Depot with a specific list of parts (I made them flush at the same time) to do the whole job instead of guessing what it would take.

So, keep on posting about every little issue since we'll all need something sometime. And thanks.

P.S. A few months ago, the column lock threads kept me from having it towed when it locked up as I waited and jerked it loose long enough to get it to the dealership.

I've done a ton of stuff to my car that I would have never attempted if it wasn't for this forum.

This is the main reason I decided to become a supporting member.

I figured that with all of the cash and time/inconvenience this forum has saved me,it was well worth the price of admission

Now,.......if I could only stay out of the parts for sale and the mod threads.........
