Looking to make a more radical sound in my Z06 and Ive narrowed it down to these two.A friend down the street has a C6 with the Borla Stingers and they sound good.Very strong at idle and aggressive at WOT.
How do the BB Bullets compare to Borla....and are there any extreme weight differences? Quality? etc..
Any info...thanks.
My vote is for the Bullets. Amazing sound, yes there is drone no question. For the looks I get and the sound I make at both low rpm and then around 4k rpm I'm more than happy to live with it
i have each on my cars and i like the stingers better due to no drone problems. both sound very good. the bullets are louder and deeper. the borlas sound deep as well and have very nice tone to them with no drone. if you want all out loud with a good tuned sound and dont mind drone then go bullets. they do sound the meanest but if you want something that does not drone in the car go borla and you will be very happy with the sound. both are great systems. listen to sound clips of both.

Thats an interesting take...Im leaning slightly towards the Bullets..because Im looking for radical and the drone doesnt concern me too much..I think their both good though...I went for a ride in a Z tonight with a club member who has the Bullets and they sounded really crisp, mean and thats what I am looking for...
I know it might be marginal but is there a hp gain by dispatching the mufflers?Any seat of the the pants feel? The friend with the Bullets said he had dynoed his Z at 375 at the wheels with the BBs and Halltech...intake...any thoughts...
i really didnt see any sotp change when i swapped my systems around on my cars. you might think the car is faster with the bullets because of how it screams at wot though. if you dont mind the drone and want a radical and mean sounding car then get the bullets. you will love them. they are the meanest sounding of the two and have a very exotic sound when you are in the upper rpms. quality is very good i have had no problems with mine. the only thing to look for is when you install them, look at the exhaust flange welds on the stock side facing the h pipe. my flange broke at the weld on the stock side of the pipe. it can be a common c5 problem. just have it welded up if it looks like it is cracking or if you get an x pipe you will not have to worry about it.

Hi 8T Shark,
I also looked at both setups and decided on the Borla Quad Tip catback.
I'm completely satisfied with the Borlas. They look great and sound baddass.
Give them a listen and decide for yourself.
I have LG Pro long tube headers, x-over and hi-Flo cats...then the Borlas.
The Borla setup weighs a touch more than the stock Ti catback...but it's negligible.
The Borlas are definitely deep and throaty sounding. I have them on my Z06 with LG long tubes and love the sound.
Ditto. And when running at the track I have been asked several times as to what system I have, as it sounds so good. However, it's hard to go wrong with either system.
