Well, after admiring Corvettes for years I made up my mind to pull the trigger after attending the Corvettes at Carlyle show. I found a beautiful 98 pewter coupe with some very tasteful and well thought out mods. Custom black and red leather seats, Z06 wheels and rear brake vents, some very subtle body enhancements, HUD, short throw shifter and much more. Its definitely ready to show. I pick it up on friday night and i can't wait. Road tested the car today with my mechanic and what a rush it was. And thanks to this forum i knew exactly what i was looking for.
That sounds great! Most of the hard work has been done for you, even the retro HUD! Most people think you will get a better price if you leave a corvette stock, but I disagree, most buyers today like to mod their cars and it's nice to pick up a good ride with tasteful mods! Please post pics when you get them, you can use Photobucket.com to host your pics!
You should love it. Congrats. Now you need to go to Ocean City Corvette Weekend in October. Check Freestate Corvette Club site for info. Great weekend and only 3 hrs away.
I am fortunate to be getting one in early to mid November. Enjoy! It will be a looong seven to eight weeks, but well worth the wait. Getting a magnetic red 2000 hatchback, some mods, well done.
It's close to 2am friday morning. Thank god i took the day off tomorrow to finalize the deal. If all goes well i should be able to take some pics and post em friday night. And hey thanks for the good wishes and greetings. I think i'm gonna like it in here!

Awesome!
Congrats! I just got my 01 C5 M6 black/black 2 months ago and I couldn't be happier. Well, except that I want heads/cam already, but that's not the car's fault.
