This is my first vette and after a couple of months it is still mod-free. What would you do first with about a thousand bucks on this stock AE?

In this order:
1. Upgrade the air intake about $250 to $400
2. Replace the original AC/Delco battery with an AGM type $75 to $100
3. Scrap the run-craps and get some Michelins or Pirelli (don't know) about $700 to $800, roughly a $grand$ total
....oooooooor....save the grand until you can put a few more with it...buy some disposable gloves to prevent grease from creeping under your fingernails and install these items... Long tube headers, with a new intake and a modest cam then go get a good tune. That will get the hair on the back of your neck to stand up!

Best Return for $1000. Cold air intake, ZO6 TI's used for $400, and a tune.

Take advantage of one of the exhaust specials going on right now, an '02-'04 Z06 airbox lid, and a window valet.

For me... not much hp gain from Blackwing or B&B PRT's but sounds great! Wake up came with gear swap 2:73 - 3:42 And LT Headers, cats & X. A Little more $ but well worth it.
