Default New owner - code P1441

I'm the proud new owner of a '02 Electron Blue Z06.

I've done some searching and haven't quite found the answer to my problem.
I'm getting a code P1441 - Evaporative emission (EVAP) System flow during non-purge
Can anybody help me understand what's going on and how to fix it?

The car seems to run normal with no other indications of a problem.
I just purchased the car 3 weeks ago. It was traded in on a new Escalade. 14800 mi. and excellent condition. It's got a Corsa exhaust and I think it's had the CAGS bypassed(the 1st to 4th light comes on but I am still able to shift to 2nd). Other than that, at least as far as I can tell, it's stock.

Check the gas cap - at least three clicks to tighten.

I read a lot about this and most of the time it comes down to the gas cap not being put on properly after getting gas...

I would check the cap first...make sure it is tight and then reset the code. If it doesnt come back you are good to go. If it does here is the procedure
