I recommend staying away from any third-party warranty companies. I've heard nothing but horror stories. I've only dealt with GM major guard and have been very satisfied. Do a search and find the cheapest dealer. You can purchase out of state and/or use the price to negotiate a better price with a GM dealer of your choice. I had mine extended 4 years, 0 deductible for $925.
Check out Ken on the site or go to your local dealer and ask the finance manager about one. Stay with the GMPP. You should be able to get another 4 years for a reasonable amount. They will want to make a little profit on you. I know that Ken offers members a very reasonable mark up on his.
I just had 4 years added to my 01 (from my local dealer). I got 32k miles which I won't hit, with a $200 dedutable for $1100 and change.

Have any of you had any dealings with Warranty Direct? If so how satisfied have you been?
My factory warranty is comming to an end and I am thinking of these people.
Thanks in advance

No problems here. Only had to deal with them once so far for wipers going crazy. $320 fix. $0 deductible so it didn't cost me. They picked up the entire tab. Painless and easy.
If you are still lucky enough to have the factory warranty then you would be smart to extend it with GM if you can. Best chances of getting coverage that won't go belly up on you down the road
If you intended on modifying your vehicle, go with a
GMPP, If you decide to keep it stock, Warranty direct would be a great choice. I've read a few members having issues with Warranty direct when they tried to make a claim on their modified cars. I have them on two vehicle and haven't had any issues with them has of yet.

I've had Warranty Direct on my car for about a year and a half now and have had one claim - bad key fob. No problems dealing with them and they picked up the entire cost with my zero deductible.
I agree with others. Do NOT go with a third party company. I had one on my Grand Cherokee and it threw a rod and they wanted to replace it with a used motor. The used motor came in to the dealer with rust in the cylinders and the warranty company made me pay for the rebuild (about $1500) since they were already paying for the motor. For what I ended up paying, I could have almost had a new motor put in from the begining. Better to stick with GM.
