None of the choices were appropriate for my answer. Maybe the individual loves his car and didn't get a chance to wash it when he got caught in an unpredicted rain shower but still enjoys driving it so much that as long as he can clean the windows he's good to go, and he'll wash it as soon as he gets the chance, because it will clean up again and besides now he can drive it and not have to worry about the weather again until the next time he finally cleans the car. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
Holy Cow! Someone who likes to drive their car more than clean it and stare at it in the garage. I never understood the point of cleaning and polishing and not driving your chosen beauty. It's ok, cause I can be the next guy who buys the garage queen at the depreciated price and enjoys it for the reason it was built.
I have mixed feelings. While I HATE to see my car dirty, I have to deal with the fact that it is a BLACK car and on top of that a daily driver. I do my best to keep it looking as nice as I can, but the fact of the matter is, it's not in pristine condition and I kind of like it that way. I can enjoy it on a road trip without worrying about rock chips or dirt. I can drive it daily without worrying about how much the elements are going to wear on it.
That being said, none of the above really match my opinion but if I had to choose, I would choose "what a shame" I guess.
Meh, I drive mine when I want; rain or shine. If it gets dirty that's just part of the process. Dirty or not it's still one of the best looking cars ever made.

Generally keep mine clean, but after a track weekend it's filthy and it may be a day or two before I can get to cleaning it up. So unless I know all the circumstances, I wont pass judgement.
i look at the license plate before i judge. if they look to be from out of town, i just assume they're on a road trip and haven't had time to wash it. if they're local, then they either haven't had time to clean it or the don't care about it. you can generally tell from the rest of the car if they just don't care about it.
I say YAH Good for the OWNER. at least HE DRIVES IT.
one of my favorites was to see a Veyron at ALMS at the Miller Motorsports Park that had been driven from CO to UT kind of dirty from the drive as car car get when driven with a egg Mcmuffin wrapper thrown on the passenger floor
bob weir of the grateful dead has a 63 roadster that he NEVER washes.
"The old Stingray was showcased in an exhibit of rock stars' wheels at the Petersen Automotive Museum seven years ago. "There were all these cars that you can actually shave looking at yourself in one of them -- and then there was mine," Weir says.
"They perched it right at the entrance. When they picked up the car, I told them if they washed it I'd have their asses in court. Because that's not the way the car is supposed to look, as far as I'm concerned. It's a number of shades of primer gray on top of the old -- I don't know what color it used to be -- but it's dark and dusty, and I kind of like it like that. It was the only car that had a picture in all the articles. I love the car, it's a great car."
