Default Quick question?

I am on my way to purchase a 2001 Z06 on wednesday. From the pictures, it looks like the z06 emblems have been removed, what is the easiest way to make sure that It is truely a Z06? I did a carfax and it does not state that it is, but neither did the other Z06's that I did the carfax on as a test. thanks to all in advance for the help

VIN will reveal all, but I forget the specifics. A good start would be to check the gauges & seats. Are you thinking it's an older FRC with ducts?

Vin, eight digit should be an S, also round tail pipes, checkered dash w Z06 emblem, z06 logo on seats, no fog lights. All of the above can be added to the car except the vin, the only sure fire way.

If it is a 2001 and it is a FRC Body then it is a Z06.

Good point...but he still needs to verify that it's really an 01. Again, the VIN is your only way to do this. Good luck to the original poster!

A fixed roof 2001 with a small trunk lid can only be a Z, there aren't any other versions.
