Advice: Doors not locking
Is there possible a simple answer? My doors unlock fine with the key, or the button on the armrest. but will not lock. I can hear the power trying to activate the lock but it doesn't have the power to complete the task. Any ideas?
My driver side door won't unlock at times even though the passenger side does.
Luckily with window valet, 3 hits of the unlock button and down comes the windows. I just reach in and unlock!
Now to get that stupid turn signal / hazard light switch connection looked at. I hate the "Casper Effect" signals.

Don't panic.
Give it a day or so if you can stand it. My window wouldn't go down on pass side -then after a few days it started working again-
Same thing on turn signals happened to me once -
Went crazy trying to trouble shoot and never found a reason. I didn't fix it - it fixed itself -

It could be a bad ground, or a loose connection to the DCM or a bad relay in the DCM or the board in the DCM could be bad.

RWS. Thank you. The link you provided describes my problem exactly. Including the embarrassment of having the alarm go off when you open the door! I'm headed in the right direction now.

With mine the key was fine and just the passenger door lock gave problems. The Dealer replaced the door lock actuator ("Module Local Interface Unit Door Left") under warranty.

unlocked it via the fob), but to our amazement/my embarrassment - after I had inadvertently set-off the C5's alarm, we both discovered that neither the driver's door nor passenger's door were actually ever locked.

I wonder how long this has actually been going on, since we've never attempted to unlock the doors manually before...without utilizing the key fob first.

BTW...very informative link you provided...thanks.
