With just a filter change what will work best KN or mean green on stock Z. How much power will a vortex cold air intake make over a simple filter change for the extra money?
An aftermarket cold air intake will definetely give you a hp increase, but if you want the best, get a Callaway Honker. I've had the one you mentioned and it's not bad, but the Honker quality is about the best.

I guess this has been covered a million times. I would probably steer clear of a K&N since it is oil cotton, and most folks use either too much or too little oil on the filter.
I have not had a chance to check out either the Green or the Accel Blue to see what media they use, or how they test out. Most gains from filtration are because the filter allows in more particulate matter since the filter is more "open".
As for gains, I run a paper filter in the stock box. I removed the airbox lid, and I gained 15 HP and 11lb ft of Tq. Those were the same gains seen by another Z06 at the same time with a Vararam.
As for me, I'll stick with paper... It works, and I'm going plenty fast with it...
