I've used a Car Chip, which is essentially a data logger of many of the parameters that this gauge can read. I'm guessing that the unit simply plugs into your OBD II port connector. The nice thing about it is that you can view intake air temperature in (essentially) real time.
I like it, since the more info I can access about operating data, the better.
Currently the Interceptor will interface with any gasoline powered 1996 and up GM and Isuzu car or light truck that is OBD2 compliant, as well as the Dodge SRT-4. Known exceptions which use the new CAN bus are the 2005/6 Pontiac G6, 5.3L FWD V8 cars such as the 2005/6 V8 Grand Prix, V8 Bonneville, 2006 2.4L FWD engine cars, 2003 and up Cadillacs except the LS6 CTS-V, 2007 GM trucks and all LS2 motored cars. Versions for Ford vehicles will be available soon followed by Chrysler and imports. We will also be releasing a version for these CAN vehicles later this summer.
Reading this - Applications paragraph - can anyone tell me what it is actually saying about the LS2, it appears to me as though it will not work with a Corvette?
