That sounds like the ever-common malady, the deceased door lock module. Even though my passenger side lock didn't work, the dealership replaced the driver's side and that fixed everything. Usually, this happens within the factory warranty period, so if yours is still covered, get it in, pronto!

Still got warranty? Take it to a dealer. I had an intermittantly working power lock switch on a Chevy van. One day, the switch shorted out and started a fire in the door. The stupid thing was wired to a curcuit breaker instead of a fuse. The breaker was resetting itself every 6 seconds. I drove to work, parked the van and 45 minutes later a co-worker came into my office yelling "Your truck's on fire."
Had a similar problem with my 2000 FRC. Door control panel would lock passenger door, but not drivers door. The key FOB would lock passenger side and unlock both. It turned out to be the driver's side door control module. I bought a used one from Karshop (forum vendor at http://www.vette2vette.com/) for around $45.00. Installed and working great.
You have to remove door panel to get to it. If I can be of any help, PM me with questions.
Sounds like a relay. I Have the same prob. If not under warranty, I found a great thread on the forum. Search " door relay " page 2 topic:drivers side door lock.Started by OB1VETTE. I have yet to perform this operation but on my list. Good luck
