My wife to be in 3 weeks, wanted to take my 92 F-150 with 32" tires on our first date... but she also wanted to see my 02 Trans Am I had in storage in my garage before I took her home.
Of course this spring she made me trade the T/A for vette :burnout: so she likes taking that on dates now.

The vette is my daily... I think girls are impressed by it... I think mom's, sisters, friends & brothers are always most impressed... Which is also part of the game... Dad's are always a touchy issue.....

I've been married for over 29 years, but if I were single I'd say "no". My Vette is the last sanctity of manhood that I have left. If she was very pretty, I might show her a picture of my car.

Eh... I have this issue. Around here many women see a flashy car as someone trying to impress, they're not used to a guy genuinely into sportscars.
My problem is that my beater is an '87 Toyota truck w/ no stereo and no muffler... hardly a date machine... it's not very fair to the girl.
W/ my ex I drove the car on our first real date, but kept the right foot on hold and played some Dave to keep things chill, and I didnt' talk about the car at all, she simply said "nice car". However she did know I had it becuase in meeting all my friends before she had asked how we were all friends and my anser was "cars" so logically she asked "what kind of car."
W/ the girl I'm currently dating we met out a few times so I could drive my truck... but again she knew I had a vette b/c there's a pic on my myspace which she found.
For the first few weeks we were dating my car was down for my mod project and that intrigued her... she really wanted me to finish it so she could stop driving us out in her jeep
she refused to go in my beater truck.
She'd never been in a vette before, let alone a modded z06... she made the mistake of asking, "so is it fast?" while we were on the way to the movies... so I obliged by smashing it in 2nd and getting a little sidways... she liked it... alot

Heck, my DD cost more than the vette, so I guess the answer would come down to where you were taking her. To a show,or a nice dinner, the DD (in my case, a Lexus LS430) to a car show,or an outting on the parkway, the vette...
