Was following Kale's thread, when I got a call from the alignment shop - can't align it because it has been lowered. Instruments cannot read under the car (right to left). They have done C5's before, but cannot do mine.
I have 18" Malletts all around (w/ 35 sidewall tires), and have thought that the gap up front is a little smaller than waht I see, but I accounted that to the larger wheels. Back appears to be the same to me.
SO, what is a stock ride height / gaps, or what should I look for underneath to determine if it has been lowered.
Should also mention it rides a bit harsher / bouncier than a friends coupe w/ the adjustable suspension set on sport. Found this out last week.
That's what I thought, and mine isn't even that low.
They just called back and are able to get it done by 'adjusting' the equipment. I said if it has to be rigged or anything odd, don't do it as it drives fine, I just want it for peace of mind. They said it wouldn't be problem. <- Me, freaking out thinking my car is going to turn into Christine.
The shop that aligned mine had to take the front plastic air dam pieces off so the sensors could see each other underneath the bumper. No big deal. Other than that, they had no problem.
