I have an older B1 Vararam system. I bought it because I dont drive in the rain and did like the theory behind the product.
I've had the system in my car for 3 years. Yesterday. I ventured on a 4 hour trip. I left at 6am while it was pouring rain out. About an hour into the trip, I remembered, Im cruising at 70-80 MPH in the pouring rain with a Vararam system. All the worst case thoughts ran through my head, but I forged ahead and kept driving.
Bottom line is I drove 4 hours, about 300 miles in the rain on a highway behind trailer trailers and city traffic, and did not have any issues with the system.
I was concerned about driving with the system in the rain, but im not anymore.

ive been driving with mine in the rain all this summer and once in the heavy rain that caused flooding around here in the chicago area. Unless you are a hoover and trying to drive through standing water, you will be fine. no worries

Good post, u really made me make up mind, I was worried since i will want to use my vette as a daily driving thing......i guess i will go ahead and order the Vararam B2 and throw me an order of the screens that cover the fog lights (ZO6 screens). Any other thing i need to buy or did i miss anything filter, etccc.....Other than find a reliable place/person in Georgia area to install it.....
The only thing that I found that made me wonder was when I/you wash the car, water will sit in there and you have to soak it up. It made me nervous the first time I discovered this. I have had no other problems with mine thus far. Just my 2 cents.

I would drill a couple of small drain holes where the water pools. Small enough not to interupt any airflow but let that standing water out.
Just an idea.

If it don't have the holes already. Mine had the holes when I got them. Looks to be 3/16 inch or so.
In the hay day I think I paid $380. I think the V2s are cheaper now. I used to have the ZO6 screens in, but I didnt like the way my fog lights looked when they were on. The last year I removed the screens when I had the front painted. I wash my car almost after every use, and get plenty of water in the front air ram area and I have never had an issue. I dont have my car running when I wash it.
