HOW MANY TIMES ARE WE GOING TO GO THROUGH THIS SAME &%#* TOPIC!!!!!?????
What else is there to talk about? To me this thread is a nice departure from the "look at my car after I washed it" or "someone keyed my car" threads that make up 75% of the C5 General forum.
People come and go all the time so opinions change over time.
As for me I think it looks naked with out them. But I fell in love with the C5 that had them so to me that seemed normal.
JMO, but without the BSM's it gives the impression that it's the bare bones cheaper version of the car, especially when seen next to one with the BSM's - not that it's a bad thing (J. Seinfeld).
It's kind of like when you see any group of the same new car in a dealer lot. You see the ones with the silver painted wheel covers with the black steelies peeking out underneath next to the model with the real cast aluminum wheels or the car with the flat black rubber bumpers next to the model with the bumpers color matched to the body (more so in years past)...you get an impression of which is the higher end model.
You should stay busy modifying your car, therefore if you have BSM's on your car you should take them off, and if you don't have BSM's on your car you should stick them on.
I like the BSM where as most other do not. I think it adds to the lines of the C5. I actually like it better on the coupe and less on the convert. I also would remove it if I had a tigershark front and rear fascia as I think those fascias deserve a very "clean and smooth" appearance.
