Thanks you EG,
Some might say it is considered foolish to talk someone out of your services, but we have found it to be just the opposite. I have seen several "die hard" guys come and go from other shops once they got burnt out from it. We try and present the positives and the negatives to mega hp so the individual knows what they are getting into. Personally I like about 7-750 rwhp for the street, more than that is a waste IMO, but if your a drag racer or top end racer, than sky's the limit if your willing to do the necessary suspension work, it's all up to the individual.

you're going fast enough when your ET is a negative number because you ripped a hole in spacetime by passing the speed of light....the only problem is proving you did this because it wouldn't show up on the video camera.

Fast Enough, I would agree with ECS. I have ridden in a 03 cobra with solid axles ~725hp. Once my friend bought slicks for his car, and could actually get it to hook up.......this was FAST Enough for a street car. Methane enjection......I would sum it up by saying that if you can hang with a 1000cc street bike from a roll @ 40mph up into the triple digits: this is fast enough for a street car. Now if it started raining, then he had to pull over and get a ride, and his GF hated that he couldnt see her or take her out if it was raining, that and him moving to ATLANTA, and the fact that it was his DD, = sold car.

My initial reaction to the question was "NEVER". But, in reality, you need to determine what the purpose or purposes of the car are. If it's an NHRA Pro Stock Car, you literally can never get the car fast enough. If you are driving the car for multiple purposes, fast enough is a sum of your budget, ability to drive, ability/desire to work on cars, your stomach for broken parts, and tolerance for some sacrifice in drivability.
A true daily driver-type car capable of 11.0 is DRs is a VERY respectable street car. You could be quicker with very minimal loss in the above mentioned categories.
But, in the grand scheme of things, an 11.0 car is insane.

Your fast enough when you can outrun the space shuttle. You're fast enough when you can make John force look like a defensive driver.
WHen your butt sweats every time you hit the gas.
I have a low 12 second v6 camaro, and I thought I was hot ****. Now I get beat regularly by modded corvettes, cobras, etc...
Go for the 10's. That will pretty much cement you King of the neighborhood.
On the other hand... WHere do you live? In my area, there is alot of urban density, curvy roads, construction, etc...11 second potential is about the maximum safe power level for someone with average reaction skills. Beyond that, you can never go WOT on the car because there is an obstacle ahead that you can't negotiate at such speeds.
WHen I lived in Kansas, however, I would have no problem driving an 8 second car on the street. Wide open straight roads....

Fast enough is when everytime i drive it i get a big grin on my face, and the wife is still happy taking it out and not having to worry about anything except having fun.
