Default Power Seat Problem

Hello, I have a 2002 Z06 and the driver seat is driving me crazy! I have turned the easy out options to the off position. The problem is when I come back to the car, the power seat slides back as soon as I open the door to leave. I put the key into the ignition and the seat still does not go back to its memory position until I press the memory button. This has drove me to remove the fuse that controls the power seat function, to allow me to keep my sanity. Anyone have ideas? Thanks in advance

It won't move to the memory position unless you press the unlock button on the fob that you programmed for your position. For example, if you program button 1 to the #1 fob, when you unlock the door with that fob and put the key in the ignition, it will move to your memory positions. If you don't push the unlock on the fob, you have to press the memory button on the door. (even if the door is unlocked, you still have to press the unlock button on the fob before you get in or insert the key) It doesn't know which memory to go to if you don't press the fob key.

Thank you, is there anyway to just keep the chair in one place and not have it move Unless I do it manually?

You should be able to turn off the easy entry/exit and set the memory where you want it, don't use the fob and it should stay. But it's much easier to use the easy exit settings and let it go back to the memory when you insert the key. Saves wear and tear on your side bolsters. I guess your method of removing the fuse would keep it still, too, but I like that feature. Mine doesn't move to the back when I open the door without the key in. Of course, it's already back because when I pull the key out, it slides back and retracts the steering wheel so I can get in and out. Then when I go back, I press the remote fob, insert the key and all settings go back to where I had them, including mirrors, radio, etc.

Thank you guys for your answers. I always park where I can fully open my doors, which saves my side bolsters from abuse.

It's not the door openings that cause me to rub the seat bolsters, it's my seat (not the car's) that rubs. I have the sport seats with the power grips on the bolsters, I'm not sure if yours are the same. I need my car seat to slide back, no matter how wide open the door is. Or I need to eat more salads, less burgers.
