I like mine on my black car....I wouldn't take them off. It is your car though!

I took them off of my car and found a HUGE PAINT CHIP under one on the passenger side and under the driver side front molding the outline of the molding had etched itself into the paint.

I touched up the paint chip and still have the etched outline and it still looks better then before.

take it off.

I removed mine when i had my car painted last month and it looks so much smoother. Wish I would of do it years ago.

I like the looks of the car either way - with or without the BSMs. Just comes down to a personal preference.

, and after hitting a deer, and getting a new drivers side 1/4 panel which did not come with a new bsm, I left it off, but left the bsm on the door, and did the same thing to the passanger side. since the door bsm have an angled cut, I think it looks better without the short bsm on the 1/4 panel, and the door still gets a little protection from the azzhat door dinger people..
