I have a '00 FRC. The A/C cools normally at idle, but seems like it
cools less when driving or at higher rpm's. I'm thinking the compressor is shutting down at higher rpm's. heard something about a low pressure cutoff or high pressure cut off swithch that may be activating. Any help is appreciated.
I would have to say you are most likely low on Refrigerant. There is a low pressure compressor cut out switch that will cause the clutch to disengage when the suction operating pressure is too low. If it is low, then you have a leak someplace or a line restriction could cause a problem such as you describe. Most likely, its just low on charge from a slow leak someplace.
