Default Pure ANGER

heading back to the office from lunch....looks to be glass broken across the road. Some jackass let a box of crap fall off the truck or something....There were obviously screws in the box with glass. Cause I have a few in my runflats

I am being told that they arent supposed to fix these, per GY regulation, but they can patch up to two holes.

I AM REALLY ANGRY that the highway dept doesnt have this cleaned up, really angry that all the money I pay for tons of coverage doesnt do crap here, and ticked that to really have everything lined up and matching, I need to replace all 4 tires.

Im sure everyone has felt this way, but I had to vent here instead of taking it out on the cop or my office coworkers.

Why don't you tell us what you really think.

As forum members we are all here to help each other. Scream some more if it'll help

That's a bummer. I feel your pain.

Good reason to start the mods huh? The only rims I really would love to have are c6 gunmetal.

I was planning to get some non-runflat tires for sound/performance, but I hate to pull the trigger when the tires have about half their tread left.

So order some non runflats, get the GY's repaired best you can, and take this opportunity to post some really killer burnout videos
Actually that really sucks. Sorry to hear it. Just put mine in the shop this morning because of the Alabama DOT and their incompetant mowing crew.

^ If any of the runcraps are in good shape you can sell them on here to make some money back. Shipping tires is easy, just slap a label and tape on the tire iteslf and let 'er rip.

I know what you mean. I had two punctures on the same corner both non repairable in the first 10K miles. Tossed the runcraps and couldn't be happier. Went to GS D3s way better tire and much less noise. Ditch the runcraps you'll be happier.

Are these Goodyears you bought from an authorized GY dealer, or the originals from the assembly plant? If you bought them at a GY dealer, you purchased "road hazard" warranty with them (whether you know it or not). Broken glass and screws certainly fit the description of road hazard.

Check with your GY dealer and ask for replacements.

The Highway Department does have a crew to clean crap off of the road, it's just that someone has to call them and tell them.

I called and told them, but apparently 5 people before me had the same problem, bc the officer that came out....had to respond to them before she got to me. She assured me the area was now taken care of

You should write a strongly worded email/letter to you Governor....

It won't make any difference, but the rant will help you feel better.

Around here, the roads can have potholes big enough to cause damage to you car... and the county/city IS NOT responsible... get this.... UNLESS you are the 2nd person or higher to complain... if you're the 1st, you're SOL... Go figure

I bought the car from a private party with 29,900 on the ticker about 2 months ago. She garaged the car and drove it on the weekends....I am thinking these are a second set she put on. Should I call her and see where she bought the tires from?

Darn! The road hazard warranty is only valid for the original purchaser. Still, it wouldn't hurt to call Goodyear, explain the circumstances, and ask them what they can do.

Just dropped it off at the local tire shop. They had around 20 cars throughout the day from the incident. One guy in a dually actually witnessed the "incident" ....box of glass and screws falling off and going everywhere.

Front tire had one screw....no puncture...Rear had 4(that I know of, two are punctures. From a quick check, mechanic said I had around 5k left on tires anyways. I already put them for sale on here, most likely going with Kuhmos
