The first statement says it all. How could you take the chance of losing a $1000.00 order by being so inapt, inefficient? Some of these companies amaze me. Thank God we have the forum to let each other know which are good and which are not deserving of our patronage.

IIRC, somebody from Eckler's posts on the CF every so often. I thought they may have been a Suooprting Vendor, but not too sure.

I have only bought one thing from Eckler's and used their toll-free number. I bought what may have beenthe last C4 trailer hitrch in existance.

They guy I takled to seemed to know what he was doing and I placed my order and received it a week later just what I expected for shipping across the country.

There have been horror stories about troubles with Eckler's and I don't understand why a company that large and having been in the Corvette accessory business for so long, can have so many things go wrong. From the posts I have read, they do not seem to do a good job in customer service.

As far as the "prices" being wrong, it's their responsibility to make sure that what they publish is correct. A good company would have honored the posted price and ate the loss.

Mid America Motorworks is my recommendation! Their Customer Service is outstanding. Never a problem in 15 years of dealing with them. Chuck Yeager is their "Chief Cheer Leader". He throws a big party every September for their customers.

Eckler's has changed hands several times since it started - current owners are driving it's reputation into the ground.

There are those who are in business just to make money, and there are those who are in business because the products they offer are their passion. Anyone can sell anything, but I'll spend my money where people really care about me as a customer.

From what I saw of the people who worked there during the reunion this past October, they didn't have much knowledge or passion for the corvette, JMO

I've found them to be a good source for C3 parts for last 20 years too.

Do they have a web site?
Thanks,
