On the right side of my radio bezel, there is a large gap between the bezel and the dash pad. Does anyone else have this problem? If so what did you do to tighten it up?
Yes, have the same problem. You can try to loosen the torx screws up and push it over a bit and re-tighten them...helped mine a bit, but it's still not a quality fit.
I tried that as well. Still not happy with the fit. I'm hoping someone else has had the same problem and came up with a better solution. Thanks for the reply.
Every one I check has a gap on the upper right corner of the bezel. It's more obvious with the shale interior. I removed mine and tried to fit it better, but didn't help much. It feels like the radio mount is pushing the bezel out too far to match up with the dash. Let me know if you find a fix.
If I had to blame one component, I'd guess the problem is a poor plastic mold. I did a search a long time ago, and a guy who had his car under warranty got a new one from the dealership and it wound up fitting fine. Luck, probably.
I ran a thread on this about a year ago. I've had various problems and the molding has fitted badly and really badly depending on the grip on the locating clip. Its never fitted really well
I thought about maybe fitting a leather strip like the one you can buy for around the traction control panel. Never did find a good solution though.
I found that after removing the radio and reinstalling the bezel, it fit perfect for mine. One of the plastic tabs on the right side gets bent and does not go into the mating hole. It only takes 10 minutes to do. You just have to make sure it goes in the hole.....while lining up the PITA hook part that goes by the passenger leg.
