Default head and cam results

FINALLY...I did it. Yes, thanks to Andy and A&A.

The specs:

comp cam 220/224
215cc Edelbrock custom heads
LS2 ported TB
90 FAST
AFR dual springs
Rollmaster h.d. timing set
comp cam lifters

A total of 87rwhp/47lbtq of improvement from previous mods.
The car really packs a punch from the mid to top end rpm range.
I DO have problems while firing it up in the mornings. If it's not warm enough it will stall. The check engine light lit a couple of times with the codes pointing to Misfire Detected (PCM 0300), but I'll sort these bugs out with Andy's help if they persist.

Forgive me but those numbers seem low for h/c.. I mean you can get 430 rwhp w/ just a cam on LS6 heads.

Your #s are great and right on. You've got a good street cam. You can drive easy every day plus you'll probably still pass smog in Cali.

Nice numbers on the package! Perhaps the low temp stall condition can be linked to the FAST intake! I heard that they can leak air a little so perhaps when warmed up she seals up too therefore taking away the stall and engine light!

I'm sure Andy will sort it out and maybe just maybe the numbers will jump, which would be an added bonus as well! FREE HP any time YEAHHH!

Hey! Let us know what Andy comes up with.
ALSO let me know if she'll pass smog that way. I too am a California native in Palmdale and not far from you!

Thanks,Matt

Thanks for the info. Andy mentioned that the stalling wasn't normal but could be amended by increasing idling by adding air.

I'm running a 222/222/575 in mine and I love it. Idle 750 no surge or stall and making power at an RPM range where you can use it. Lots of guys want the bigger cam and bigger #s but a lot of them aren't even seeing the power until 6700 to 7000 rpm.

Vegas It's Matt, nice numbers! What is your set-up! and will it pass a Cali smog!(I sure wouldn't mind havin' that 402 HP number!)

My wife and I are celebrating our 17th anniversary in Vegas on Dec 2nd and will have the Vette with us! Maybe we'll cross paths!

Thanks,Matt

eec8059,

did you have to relocate or modify map sensor as many were having issues of it breaking due to the FAST intake?
