ummmm.....I hate to be on the negative side...but I would return to sender! I mean...take that bad boy back to where you purchased and get your money back and run! I think you can wait and find another vette.....that has a little less, how shall we say, ..........."history" to it.
That's my best advice...take it back while you can.....many dealers will let you return a car with a couple days after purchase.
Please consult with us before you make any more purchases!!
I helped this guy find this vette and if he didnt buy it i was going to buy it for me....i am such a good friend....this car drives like new..its really amazing...on top of that its fully loaded and not with water lol....its got all the power options memory seats cual climate a/c the works even the performance axle. I have been helping out as much as i can. His main problem is that traction and abs lights turn on sometimes when the car statrs up....then when you start moving everything clears automacticall, although sometimes it doesnt. despite me buying the car if he didnt there was 2 other people with the cash at hand. Down here in florida people dont think twice about things....By the way the test drive was really fun...i felt a bit guilty...but i needed to make sure it was good
welcome and best of luck..........I dont want to sound negative but contrary to peoples beliefs salvage and flood cars are not worth what NON salvage and flood cars are. It sounds like you got what u paid for a12k$ vette I hope you dont have any problems, but theres a reason its 12k... Good luck..It sounds like theres alot of people on this forum that know nothing about cars at all. But you have a nice looking car we can all agree on that..good luck
I must admit, I'd have turned tail and ran as fast as I could AWAY from that car. I guess it makes a difference when you have more to spend on a C5 then 12-15K. I sincerely hope it works out well for you-this is a wonderful forum with great, knowledgable owners who are willing to assist you on issues/problems with your car. Best of luck, Ron

Good friends don't let good friends buy previously submerged Vettes.
I hope you are a darn good wiring specialist, and enjoy taking your car apart. You can even save yourself some trouble now, buy the complete electical system and replace it all at once. This will save you doing it a piece at a time .
All those options that make it loaded, those are just more things that will fail.
Welcome to the forum. Since you now own this Vette I would spend a lot of time cleaning it up, ie: Change ALL fluids, check belts, fuse box, battery, computer module under battery etc.
Forum members here have done all these things and will help you.
Good Luck and Happy Driving!!
