I am in the market for headers. I am either going to go with American Racing headers, or a set of LT headers from Texas Speed. Wanted to get opinions from the peanut gallery. I have magnaflow exhaust with the x-pipe that came with it. Am I going to need to get a new x-pipe with high-flow cats?
Take a look at LG's street series LT's. I got them on my Z and I'm stally happy with the sound and power. The finish looks like it should be on a harely it's so clean. just my 2 cents. Looking is free.

Hi lastlancer,
I have LG Pros, X-over and Random Tech cats blowing into Borla Stinger quad tips. I also had it dyno-tuned. It puts down 386.1 RWHP and 375.5 RWTQ. The install was easy. Fit and finish is great. The exhaust note is excellent...loud and nasty under hard accelleration...deep and mellow at idle and cruise.
Seems like the header flavor-of-the-month is American Racing. They look like fine headers...I don't have any direct experience with them...but I have not heard (or read) any negative comments about them.
I think it's important to spend the extra sheckles on a tune if you're investing in headers, etc.
Also check Into Kooks & their Xpipe with Hi-flow cats. I love them & so happy I went this route...All the headers mentioned here are outstanding, but I love the Kooks. Good Luck
