Default Sold the Vette

Hey all,
After owning my 99 A4 for the last five years I parted with her last Saturday. I had been eyeing the new Lexus IS 350 for the last 9 months and finally bought it. The Corvette was a great car and I had 85,200 miles on her when I traded her and she was running as strong as ever. I never had a problem with the car and people would walk up and ask if it was new. So if anyone is thinking of buying a Corvette, especially a C5, I would tell them it was the best car I had ever owned and the best looking. I needed a four door car and the Lexus was good choice. The Lexus is a surprisingly quick car though, 306 hp.
I did have a locked steering column once and I bought the bypass for it but I still have a plug that goes into a cigarette lighter and connects to something. For the life of me I can't remember what it plugs into. If anybody knows and wants it, let me know, I figure someone on the forums would want it.

I'll be back in a few years with a Z06 I'm sure.

Good luck with the Lex... I am sure we will be seeing you soon again..

Out of curiosity, why not the Magnum/Charger/300 route for a 4-door?

Just curious....

I think the plug is only to connect the CLB when you 1st install it. Prob just toss it.
That new Lexus IS350 is a very nice ride. Too bad it only comes with an auto trans.
Haven't seen you in while. PM me with an update.

Take care Nick

Enjoy the diversion and come back when that z06 finds ya...

PS -- those Lexus ARE sweet. If that's the kind of car you want to be in, it's a great choice.

The Lexus IS 350 is a very nice car. Lexus is in the process of developing the IS 500 to compete with BMW and Audi. It will have a Toyota 5.0 litre V8 in it putting out approximately 400 horsepower. Lexus is targeting a 2007 release of the car with an estimated price tag of around $70,000.

Sorry to see the Vette go, but the Lexus should be a very nice car. Hope you'll stick around the forum.

A Dodge over a Lexus! Put the crack pipe down and step away!!! I love my vette, it's a sports car, but if I am going to get a 4 door car, it sure in the hell would'nt be a dodge. Other than a vette, Americans don't make a car than can touch a Lexus when it comes to luxury and quality.

To bad you sold the vette - you should have skipped the Lexus and bought yourself that Z06.
I know my next line will **** some people off - I can not and will not by foreign built anything if I can help it. I realize in a Global economy that this is no longer practicle but I make the effort. I'd rather see the money go to GM or Ford or even Chrysler before I supported an over seas maker.
