Thought I should chime in on this posting. Thanks to all of you who have done business with me and those of you are future customers. As far as extending your GMPP, YOU MUST DO THIS 3 MONTHS AND 3000 MILES before expiration of your existing GMPP, no exception to this rule. I have had customers as little as two days into their 3 month window and GMPP said NO. Any questions concerning GMPP's you may contact me at gmpp@fichtnerchevrolet.com or by phone at 406-628-4618, ext 105. Question on your IN SERVICE DATE email it to me and I will give it to you.
The GMPP Website seems to indicate that the 3-month/3000 mile before previous GMPP expiration renewal rule applies to a current (post-original factory) GMPP warranty, but not the original factory warranty.
So, if the original 3-year/30K factory warranty is still valid, do I still need to buy my first GMPP extended warranty with 3 months/3000 miles remaining on the original factory warranty?

I would buy a GMPP warranty for a vette in a heart beat! They will pay to fix your vette however if your car takes a long time to fix they will be a pain in the a** to work with and will not make any exceptions to what the book says!

Dennis can correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding from Dennis and research on this forum is that you can wait until the day of expiration of your original 3/36 factory warranty in order to purchase your first post-factory GMPP warranty. (Probably not a good idea to do last minute though.)
However, you must purchase any GMPP renewal before three months and 3,000 miles of the expiration of that GMPP warranty.
