I've searched and all the pics I've found show the raptor mounted in somewhere on the a pillar. I don't have a dual pod a pillar - just stock and am looking for any ideas/suggestions on where to mount a Raptor shift light.
Has anyone tried mounting it behind the AC vents in the ceter stack or the driver side door? Any pics?
Originally had it at the top of the A-pillar where it was easy to adjust.
I took advantage of the pod when I did the wideband set and made a custom delrin mount for the Raptor. It's still very easy to pop it out for adjustment or replacement if necessary.
I know guys who put it in the center A/C vent and they said it was a royal PITA getting it in there. Personally, I'd want to be able to get to it easily.
I mounted mine at the joint between the A-pillar cover and the dash cover, up by the windsheild. I've used it on the track, and I have no problem seeing it at any time.
To mount it, I used 2 large wire ties. I cut the locking part off of one, ran the other thru the bottom of the mounting clip, leaving a couple of inches hanging out the bottom. I slipped the wire tie into the slot between the a-pillar and the dash. Once I was sure it was far enough thru to not pull out, I tightened up the wire tie. I cut the end of the tie flush with the locking ****, slipped the shift light into the mounting clip, and can swivel the light to aim it wher I need it.
If you need a picture of the finished install, let me know.

I've seen pics of them mounted either on the A pillar or in the center A/C vent. Seems like the pillar mount would be much easier to do and provide for better viewing of the light.
