I'm done for the season too. I took the Vette to work last Thursday which was a nice day. Then took the wife to parent teacher conference that eavning. I treated her to some WOT acceleration and a CajunDude smoke run. She liked that. Friday brought 13 inches of snow. Bummer.
Nice to be able to drop the coverage down to just comprehensive. Some day I hope to do that too.
If you have a lien on your car, you still might be able to carry, comprehensive only, coverage during the winter (storage) months. It varies depending on state laws. Tennessee allows me to drop my collision coverage if the vehicle is not being driven even though there is a lien against my car. Check with your insurance company.
Why is it that everyone of these winter/storage threads turns into a north bashing thread?
Live in FL? I am happy for you. Except in the winter because every old person in the country is kicking up rocks at your Vette from their Tank/RV (including my parents).
Live in CA? Happy for you too. Have fun modding any car that was built after 1965. <INSERT mud slide, brown outs, wild fire and smog jokes here>
Storing a car sucks, but to be honest its kind of nice taking a break from it. It really feels like someone gave it 50 more HP come March. Because you are used to your daily driver with 150 less HP . But there are other days when you really miss it.....

That was truly uncalled for! If you feel that wildfires are a joke, then just tell that to the families of the firefighters who just recently lost their lives whilst defending the lives and property of others.
