I love my 01 vette but I have found little annoying things wrong with it. One problem is the drivers side door will unlock with key fob but it will not lock. Does anyone know what will have to be done to correct this problem?
This appears to be a common occurrence, as I've read other threads/posts with regard to this same problem. Just last week, my brother's '02 Coupe began experiencing the exact same thing, but with the passenger-side door. For now, he just locks it manually...it's really no big deal nor is it an inconvenience. He'll eventually have it repaired at his local GM dealer when he gets the chance. Like the rest of us, he too prefers that everything in his C5 works as it should.
90% it's the relay 10%it's something else like circuit board, trace or switch etc..how handy are you as replacing the relay is cheap...how cheap about 6-15 bucks covers everything, relay from electronics shop so pm me and I can supply all info....other than that buy a module 50-400 bucks, then stealership 1st male born child...
Want pics? one relay open and one to close, the closed one is nfg in your case "probably"
These relays reside on the door control module... separate for each door.
regards Ian

It most likely will be a bad DCM. I just replaced mine. The part was $169.00 from Fred Beans and took about 1 hour. The hardest part was getting the connectors loose.
