The G35 is a very nice car. I considered it along with the Mustang GT. Enjoy both your C5 and the G35.

Congrats on the G35 - it is one very, very nice car. Wouldn't mind having one myself.

Point well taken. I still don't understand why some people are so thinned skinned about it. I discussed this very topic with a friend (and forum member) over lunch the other day. I've never experienced such a level of "protectiveness" on other car sites. As I indicated in an earlier post, cars have been my passion for many years. I love my Vette more than any other performance/sports car I've ever owned, but not to the point where I'm insulted, hurt or offended if someone makes a positive comment about another make of vehicle.

There are many things in life that I take very seriously, but people who like or dislike the cars I drive (or make negative comments about them) isn't one of them. Perhaps word filters excluding every make of car except Chevrolet, Corvette, and Vette are appropriate.

Gorgeous car! And an excellent DD to boot -- I'm thinking of picking up one once a few things mature (myself included ) Congratulations!

The one thing I don't like about G35s, and I know this is hilarious coming from a C5 enthusiast, is... I'm not a big fan of G35's interior

Wouldn't stop me from driving one though

i have read the stickey before,it doesn't state that you should'nt discuss "comparing cars" with the C5 which the original poster was doing and what most of us do anyway. (rhetorical) how damn boring would C5 general be if it was just C5 talk all the time........

I guess my take on it is that there is a specific place set aside for the discussion of "Non Corvette | Winter Cars | Daily Drivers" under Off Topic. I am a car enthusiast as well - and have been since I was still in "short pants" if you know what I mean. In fact I don't even have a subscription to any Corvette magazines -only general enthusiast related publications. I live, eat, sleep and dream cars....I love cars.

All I'm saying is that in order to make the entire forum a more enjoyable place for everyone, post in the appropriate spots. Sometimes this section becomes more like an owner's lounge than a forum to discuss General Topics pertaining to the 5th Generation of Corvette (hence the name C5 General) This is not a place to discuss the C6, or C4's - they have their own forums, just like Other Cars.

I am not the rules police, but the truth of the matter is that this place gets really cluttered with a buch of material that doesn't really belong. I heartily suggest that everyone check out the other sections of the froum, you might be surprised as to what all is out there.

Oh - one last thing.....just because it specifically doesn't state that it's not okay to post pics and discuss other cars here, doesn't mean that it is okay. I guess it was implied....

I understand that you're not the "rules police" and I wasn't trying to be difficult. My Thanksgiving pledge is to never again talk about anything but my Vette on the C5 General Forum.

Makes me think about how people who drive other cars wonder why corvette owners are so ****.

Maybe all the positive comments from all you C5 owners regarding your other quality cars might be well served to Chevrolet Corvette Division as an awareness.

The whole point is there are several places right here on this very forum where you can talk about "Other Cars". No one is paranoid about reading about another vehicle other than a C5 Corvette - but this particular forum is meant to discuss them - not a G35 Infiniti. I'm glad the original poster loves his "other car" but if it doesn't pertain to a C5 Corvette, it doesn't belong here.
