More than likely its your under drive pulley that you are referring to. Unless you have a supercharger.
From one Old Guy to another, if you're talking belt driven superchargers, it's putting on a different diameter pulley to change it's rotational speed. Which, in turn, changes the amount of pressure it will produce at a given engine rpm.
or if your talking about an under drive pulley change out, it's reducing the size of the OEM accessories drive pulley to decrease the load on the engine. Will result in a small increase in rwhp.
