Default Will bumper to bumper....

Will bumper to bumper cover a weak battery? I'm talking about the original 3year 36k mile warranty.

Thanks,

John

Usually not, the battery has it's own warranty. If you're under GM warranty, doesn't hurt to ask. Sometimes the service manager will replace it and write it up for you. Ask.

Yes but they'll want to replace it with another AC Delco

I tried to get them to pay up for a Red Top. The answer I got from the Dealer was "they won't pay for that it's a good battery"

You may want to look at this thread before you decide. Red Top or Exide looks good to me

I've heard of some owners getting the battery replaced by the dealer under a warranty - hope your dealer comes through for you.

Yea I hope the dealer will replace it when I take it in for the last time under the original 3/36 warranty.

Mine was replaced under the original warranty at 7900 miles. No questions asked.

I had mine go out one Sat about noon. About 1pm I got ahold of the Service Mgr and he advised they'd send a tow truck. I told him I needed my vehicle before Mon. He told me to go out and buy a battery and bring them a receipt. I asked him what limitations there were and he said none. I told him if that was the case I would be buying a RedTop. He said that's what he'd do too. I did buy one and took the receipt to them and about 4 wks later I got a check from GM.

Trick to the above is you have to have it go out on a weekend or after the service dept is closed.
