Well everyone...I lost my C5 today. The black beauty is now a thing of MY past. She has been "adopted" by someone else. The new "parent" is Laura...she kind of "took over" the car. I watched her drive it today...all over the place...and I realized how much I'm going to miss the car! Now I'm feeling Vette-less already!
OK OK so it isn't quite like that...
Long story...but...Laura is my neighbor that I never knew (I live in the middle of no where) and we just met about a week ago. Well...it turns out she has a thing for Corvettes. To me...this is really cool because we're the same age and obviously have some common interests (and some beyond Vettes actually). Anyhow...today...we went for a drive and I let her take the Vette and I drove my Cobra and when we got back...she deemed the Vette as "her car." She told me I have to "ask" before I take the car anywhere without her now. I have to admit...she was pretty good driving the car, avoided puddles and all! It's neat because we only live a mile away...and she's really into Vettes so I told her she can certainly drive it again...pretty much whenever she wants.
Just thought I'd share a cool story with you guys and gals. It's always fun to meet someone else that's into the same stuff as you!
EDIT: OK you guys keep asking for a picture of Laura...we didn't get any of her in the car...so I got another one from her. Meet the new "owner" of my C5:

That's great Justin! You're so right - it is a wonderful thing to have someone to share a Corvette with. The very first Corvette I ever sat in and drove was a next door neighbor's '67 big block convertible....Nassau Blue with a black stinger. I will NEVER forget that car!

Nothing wrong with finding someone that has the same interests as you. Better keep an eye on the car though - you may not be getting as much drive time as you used to.
