What would happen if I put tires on my 02 without
any senors? I have a chance to get a nice set of rims
and tires but there are no senors.
Thanks in advance for any info.

You'll get a SERVICE TPM SYSTEM message on the DIC every time you start the car. If you have access to a Tech2 you can "turn off" the TPM system, but then you'd have to turn it on whenever you run the wheels with the sensors, if you want to read those.
From your post it is unclear .... are you gonna have 2 sets of tires (one for street one for track) or are you gonna just have one set? If 2 sets, I'd run the street tires with the sensors and live with the message (just hit RESET to clear it from the DIC) on track days. If only 1 set, see if the sensors can be installed in the new wheels (most of the time they can be).

But just curious, why would you want to skip the sensors? They are a great safety feature to have on the car. And for the '02, the sensors are only about $140 for a set.

I was told the main reason for the senors was to indicate that
you have a flat with the run flat tires. When Running non runflat
tires you have no trouble knowing when a tire goes flat so I thought
senors are a added expense.
I think I will bite the bullet and get another set of sensors and
keep the original wheels for spares.
Thanks for the info.
