GM paint source ??
Who supplies GM paint for the C5 model years.
It is a basecoat / clear coat, catalized urethane enamal and probably PPG , but thats just a guess. Anybody have any inside information ??
Trying to get to the bottom of the "right products for care of the finish" question..
Thanks Mike

Your local GM dealer.
At least that's where I got mine.

I just have one question. Why am I told my car is Quicksilver, when that name isn't used in the paint codes? Other than the fact that it sounds better than "Galaxy Silver", which it actually is? Where did the Quicksilver designation even come from?

Because that's the name Chevy marketing folks chose to call it. You will frequently find paints with the same "WA" number called by different names.

I used their paint on my front license plate surround to match the body. Turned out fantastic.
