Default Mini Ramps

Anyone out there have a pair of these?

http://www.rampconnection.com/plastic-car-ramps.shtml

I have lowered my C5 on the factory bolts and these look like a pretty decent solution for getting it up high enough for my jack. I wish they were a little wider, but believe they will work OK. I know of another company with something that appears to be a better solution, but they cost five times as much!

Anyway, I went ahead and bit. I figure I have blown much more than 29.00 + shipping on stuff before. I will report back on how they work out.

I'd be interested in hearing about that...

Been there before until I switched to a low profile NAPA jack. I can actually get the jack under the car, but it is a really tight fit.

Thought I would try something different and keep the garage from looking like a lumber yard.

As I said in the original post, I wish they were wider.

My front Wide Ovals (265/40/17) have a tread width of 9.1", leaving between 5/8" and 11/16" hanging over each side.

Considering a 14" wide solution is over 170.00 shipped, I will give these a try. If they don't work out, I will give them to Goodwill!

2 and 3/4 inches may be high enough for low-pro jacks, but I doubt standard jacks will be able to fit under the front end. The width doesn't matter much if you lift with a jack and then place the car on jack stands, so if the height is okay for you, I say give it a try.

I have a set and they work great for getting car high enough to get jack underneath.

Car is going to be higher up in the air than that, since the cars frame is not on the ground to begin with.

According to the tracking number, they should arrive on Thursday. I will try both jacks; I have a NAPA low profile and a regular height jack. Maybe I will post a picture or two.

Please post pics. I use doubled 2x10s now also, but this product might be a player.

I think he meant that he still won't be able to go straight under the front bumper and lift at the cross member.

Default Pics as promised.

Overall I would say I am pleased. They do the job nicely, but I wish they were a couple of inches wider. However, that does not impact their functionality.

What was in the box:

This is what I had before using the ramps. My low profile NAPA jack would clear with me holding the air dam up, but it was a tight fit for sure.

Before driving up. I measured about 2" between the ramp surface and the air dam. I calculated the incline to be right at 9 degrees.

After driving up the ramps.

Bottom line: They work well and don't slip. Sure you can use a couple of 2x12's but I wanted something different that would not break the bank. Then again, modding fever always seems to break the bank.

I will try and get a shot using my standard jack sometime over the weekend. It is just too damn cold outside right now.
