Default Question about Instrument gages?
Above the fuel button to check your fuel stats there is a small little glass ball. What is that? Just Curious.

It's an ambient light sensor that controls interior lighting functions.
I can't find any real specific info in the service manual, but I'm guessing that depending on current light conditions, it will control whether the interior lights turn on when using the keyless entry, etc.

I thought it was useless and converted it into a shift light !!!!

Did I really? No, but now I’m thinking…….
