The men you are referring to must be the offspring of human and bovine in some sort of twisted government experiment carried forth by the Carter administration in order to create a more docile and dumbed down electorate. The mid-term elections are proof that this diabolical scheme must be working...
HAHA, I bet he knew what it was, I sometimes will say something like that to someone that seems too INTO their cars. For example I once saw a guy "posing" next to his 355 at the gas station, I was in my Formula, pulled next to him and got gas told him that was a really well kept Fiero, and that you never see them look that nice, he didnt say a word, but did get spanked at the next stop light
I hate to say it, but Grand Island, NE isn't exactly swarming with Harvard grads. Why do I know that? Because I grew up there! My first 18 years of life and I couldn't wait to get out (no offense). I can't believe someone on the forum is from there! I was just back over Thanksgiving and didn't see a single Corvette.
there must be something in the water here in nebraska. twice in the past month i have had people mistake my '02 electron blue coupe for a ford probe.
first incident at the gas station: a 30 something guy says "i know they haven't made those for a while, but that's a well taken care of probe ya got there. what year?"
second time at the local best buy: some guy walks by as i am getting out and says "cool probe" whatever dude....
sure would be nice if someone actually said "nice vette" once.
I can see that
actually when I bought my vette I thought it was a ford probe also. Turns out the Vette is faster and cooler... so I spose ill keep it for a while.
knew a proctogolist who drove a Probe. It made me feel uneasy.
Funny thing is Ford marketed those cars to women...but when the
car came out the name got a bad name because women said it
sounded like a medical gynecology device.
Probably it's the color that throws them..seem to remember
alot of blue probes back in the day. And yes the Probe had
a nice clean design on the side profile and front like the C5
but the back of it had an abrupt squared off look
Probably same reason the red C5's get Ferrari complements...
..a vaguely similar shape matched to a certain color causes
people to make connections..
White FRC looks hell like a Fiero to me from 3/4 back view...

GO BIG RED!
actually, i graduated from harvard. well, harvard high school about 40 miles south east of here. there are several c4's running around here but not a lot of c5's or c6's. maybe they are all in storage. if you are a Husker fan cheer extra hard during the Cotton Bowl for #17 Todd Peterson, that's my wife's cousin. he's had some big catches this year.

I can remember in the late 80s I saw a couple of Probe GTs in work and thought they had interesting styling. They were actually "Mazdas" you know. I was in a C3 at the time.

Wow, what a small world. My Aunt/Uncle and their family live in Harvard and a couple of their kids attend Harvard High School now. They are the Callahans (no relation to coach Bill Callahan though).
I'm definitely a Husker fan, my cube at work is littered with NU paraphenalia. I'll definitely be rooting for him! Go HUSKERS! I went to the NU vs. USC game this year, and hope to be back for the USC game in Lincoln....hopefully a better outcome for us that time.
