Traction control question
Active handling controls spinning out, i.e. donuts.
When traction control is on, active handling is on too.
When traction control is off, active handling is off too.
In competitive mode, traction control is off but active handling remains on.

As mentioned - Traction Control will limit wheel spin by applying brake to the rear wheels assuming they are spinning faster than the fronts.
Active Handling applies brake to the front wheels, selectively - opposite front fromt the direction of the spin. Active Handling was optional until 2000 - when it became standard in 2001. It became available in later model year 1998's.
Traction control on the other hand has always been standard on the C5 since it's inception.
