If the original plugs (.060) are replaced with the smaller gap plugs (.040), what can I expect relative to how the car performs? An NGK rep told me that I could expect backfiring. For some reason, I don't believe that would be the case since it was GM that decided on the replacement and no longer offers the original .060 platinum plug.
