Default A different tire question

I am a new Corvette owner. Bought a '99 Torch red FRC with 29k miles that is absolutely like new. It's a super machine. Have loved cars all my life and had many cool and fast cars, but the 'vette was always impractical. Finally at a stage that I can keep a Corvette as an extra car in my extra garage.
My question is this - my car has nearly new GY F1 GS non runflats. They are not the highly recommended (here on the forum) GY F1 GS D3s. Since I don't have any experience driving a 'vette with any other tires, I don't really know how they compare.
Does anyone have experience with these tires? How do they compare to the D3s? Since this car is a pleasure driver, I don't think I need runflats, just curious how these tires compare. They are actually slightly more expensive than the D3s on the Tirerack site.
Thoroughly enjoying the forum, it seems to be quite a family.

Weren't the GSs the original tire on the 90's C4s?

I ran a set of these as a replacement to my original runflats. They were a good tire. People complained that they had problems with them in the rain, but I never had such issues with them. They are probably not as good an all around tire as the GS-D3, but they certainly beat the runflats.

Thanks for that info, JD. I dont intend to drive in the rain, anyway. I drove the car back from St. Paul to Kansas City and the tires seemed fine. I just had not seen anything on them and was curious.
One thing's for sure, there is a wealth of information on this forum. I intend to spend a lot of time here.
