We do alow you to drive it in the rain (mother nature), but car washes are a NO NO. You must hand wash it weekly and wax it monthly. You have just voided your "body panel" rust out warranty. That said and done. Welcome to the Forum, Good luck with your car. Most all Vettes can be found to leak (including all generations) some in the rain, and some do OK in the rain but still leak under more stressfull wetting. With the age of your weatherstrip fitment and or condition, some knowledge from an experianced person might be in order for this operation.
