Are you burning coal? What would make you think you might not pass?

My car is fairly modified and I have not registered it yet in CT.
I am concerned about passing emissions as well. Are there certain modifications that will cause it to definately fail CT. emissions test ?

That is HORSE "POOP" and another reason why I don't want to live in VA. It is a beautiful state, but man are they strict about things.

I can remember in the 70s Va. tried to pass legislation that would make it illegal to register any motor vehicle over 10 years old! And in the home state of "White Post Restorations" I think they were using emissions laws to get some of the "crap cars" off the road. But took it to extremes. Well that didn't pass, on to the next Bill!
